YES Bank Credit Card Update: Credit card rules will change from April 1, big relief in transaction limit, know what will be the effect on wallet.
News India Live, Digital Desk: If you use Yes Bank credit card, then there is good news for you. By changing the rules of usage, the bank has increased the ‘threshold limit’ (the limit after which the charge is levied). This means you’ll now be able to spend more with your card than before without any extra fees. These new rules will be applicable on utility bills, wallet load and transport transactions. Utility Bill Payments: Now no charges up to ₹25,000 Yes Bank has increased the limit of charges on utility payments (electricity, water, gas etc.). Retail Cards: Now there will be no charges on utility payments up to ₹25,000 per month (earlier this limit was ₹15,000). A charge of 1% will be levied on spending beyond this. MARQUEE/RESERV Card: The limit has been increased from ₹ 25,000 to ₹ 50,000. YES Private Card: The limit has been increased from ₹ 50,000 to ₹ 1,00,000. Digital Wallet Loading: Free up to ₹ 2,000. The rules for loading money in wallets like Amazon Pay, Paytm or Mobikwik also changed. Relief: No fee will now be charged on wallet load up to ₹2,000 per transaction. Fee: If transaction exceeds ₹2,000, 1% charge on entire amount.Maximum limit: Maximum fee on any single transaction will not exceed ₹5,000.Transportation and Toll Transactions (Transportation Fee)Toll and bridge payments will now be shown in the statement as ‘Transportation Fee’ Will be shown as. The limit has also been increased:Premium Cards (Private/Marquee/Reserv): Now there will be no charge on transport spend up to ₹75,000 per month (earlier it was ₹50,000).Other Retail Cards: The limit has been increased from ₹25,000 to ₹50,000.Lounge Access: Spend-based Access.Domestic lounge access facility on most of Yes Bank cards is now available on spend. Condition: To avail the free lounge access, you have to spend at least ₹ 35,000 in the previous quarter. Note: The free lounge facility available on RuPay Platinum Debit Cards may be discontinued from April 1, 2026, so getting access through credit cards would be a safer option. What will be the impact on reward points? Yes Bank has clarified that rewards on government services and tax payments will now be eligible for withdrawal on most cards. Will not get points. However, reward points on ‘lifestyle’ expenses like dining and travel will continue as before.
