Yo Yo Honey Singh started WPL 2026 with a bang, videos of her performance are going viral

Mumbai: The grand opening of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 took place on January 9 at the Dr. DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. In this opening ceremony, ‘Yo Yo Honey Singh’ heated up the entire atmosphere with his energy. The audience danced to his hit songs and many videos of his performance are going viral on social media. Trends like #HoneySingh and #WPL2026 dominated X.

Honey Singh rocked his classic tracks like ‘Millionaire’, ‘Lungi Dance’, ‘Blue Eyes’ and ‘Party All Night’ to make the ceremony exciting. She along with Jacqueline Fernandez and Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu gave a final performance on the stage which filled the audience with excitement before the match. The special thing was that Honey Singh’s entry took place between captains Smriti Mandhana (RCB) and Harmanpreet Kaur (MI), which became a very attractive and memorable moment.

First match: RCB’s thrilling win in MI vs RCB

After the ceremony, the first match of the season was played between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB won the toss and chose to bowl first. MI scored 154 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs, in which Sajeevan Sajana played useful innings of 45 runs and Nicola Carey 40 runs. RCB’s Nadine de Klerk took 4 wickets with the ball.

In the target chase, RCB registered a spectacular victory by 3 wickets on the last ball. Nadine de Klerk played a tremendous inning of 63 unbeaten runs and became the player of the match.
