Chhath festival celebrated across the country, Yogi Adityanath in UP, Nitish in Bihar and Atishi in Delhi gave evening arghya.

Obnews Desk: The festival of Chhath is being celebrated with great pomp across the country including Bihar. This great festival has started from 5th November. Had bathed and eaten on 5th November, after that had to do Kharna on 6th November and today on 7th November, evening Arghya was offered to Suryadev. During this time, along with Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, the CM of Delhi also offered prayers to the setting sun.

In Bihar's capital Patna, CM Nitish Kumar wished everyone a happy Chhath festival. Here CM Nitish Kumar did not reach the ghat, rather he offered prayers to the Sun God at the CM residence itself. During this, BJP National President JP Nadda was also present with him.

CM Yogi Adityanath reached the ghat

In Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, CM Yogi Adityanath and Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak reached the Gomati banks and offered prayers to the setting Sun God. During this, the CM also wished all the devotees present at the ghat on the occasion of Chhath festival.

Atishi also offered Arghya in Delhi

In the national capital Delhi, state head Atishi Marlena also offered evening prayers and worshiped on the occasion of Chhath. Let us tell you that the festival of Chhath lasts for three days. Evening Arghya is offered on the second day of the festival. That means this festival will end with Arghya on the morning of 8th November.

Chhath Puja has a special significance. In this puja, Chhathi Mata, sister of Surya Dev, is worshipped. There is special significance of offering Arghya to the Sun God on this festival. It is believed that by performing Chhath Puja, the blessings of Mother Chhathi and Suryadev remain on the children and they get good health. Along with this, happiness, peace and prosperity also comes in the house.
