Yogi Adityanath started BJP’s training campaign in the name of Deendayal

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday inaugurated the two-day ‘Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Training Mega-Campaign 2026’ in Gorakhpur. He described it as part of a larger ideological and organizational training exercise of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Party workers and prominent people from across the region participated in this training program organized as part of BJP’s ideological and organizational exercise.

‘Antyodaya should be the basis of governance’
Speaking at the event, CM Yogi said, “This BJP training camp is part of the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay training mega-campaign. We all know that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, influenced by the values ​​of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh — while working as both a pracharak and a volunteer — started carrying out his responsibilities as the Organizing General Secretary of the Jan Sangh right from its inception…”

The Chief Minister further stressed that “Antyodaya governance” should be the basis of economic policy. He further said, “In Indian politics, when we talk about Antyodaya (upliftment of the last man), the basis of governance policies should be the person standing at the last rung of the social ladder; Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay introduced this concept of Antyodaya in Indian politics, laying the foundation of the country’s economic policies…”

India’s welfare-driven transformation
CM Yogi said India has witnessed a significant welfare-driven transformation in the last 12 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting large-scale initiatives in sanitation, housing, healthcare and food security. He said that these schemes have benefited crores of people and helped in bringing lakhs of people out of poverty.

CM Yogi further said, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we have seen a changing India in the last 12 years. Who would have thought that 12 crore poor people would have toilets built in their homes, or 4 crore poor families would get a roof over their heads through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana? Lakhs of people are now getting clean drinking water through household taps.”

CM Yogi also said that due to such efforts, about 25 crore people have risen above the poverty line and come into the middle class, due to which they have been able to participate more in India’s development journey. He said, “50 crore poor people have benefited from the Ayushman Bharat scheme, and 80 crore people have benefited from free ration… It is a welfare-based approach that has enabled 25 crore people to rise above the poverty line and enter the middle class, enabling them to actively participate in India’s development journey. We are uniting the entire nation under a single vision, aligning our values with India’s values, its vision and its heritage.” Adding…”

CM did ‘Janta Darshan’
Earlier, the Chief Minister also heard the grievances of the people during ‘Janta Darshan’ at the Gorakhnath Temple complex in Gorakhpur. He also fed fodder to the cattle in the cowshed of Gorakhnath temple.
