This step of the government will provide direct and big benefit to more than 8.48 lakh defaulting vehicle owners of the state. At the same time, the way for tax collection which has been stuck with the government for years will also be cleared. It is noteworthy that one-time tax system has been implemented in the state on light commercial vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes from January 30, 2026.
