In the expansion of the cabinet of Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh, with the filling of 6 vacant posts, the removal of about half a dozen weak performing ministers is considered certain. Keeping in view the 2027 elections, BJP may give place to active office-bearers of the organization and new MLAs to strike a regional balance.

There are plans to include around 15 new faces in the cabinet, with names like Bhupendra Chaudhary from the organization, and Pooja Pal, Krishna Paswan, Ramratan Kushwaha and Manoj Pandey from other sections being discussed. The BJP leadership is focusing on strengthening the caste equation by giving representation to Dalit, backward and Brahmin communities.

This restructuring is being considered a major step towards making the face of the government more balanced and effective for the 2027 assembly elections.
