Yogi government’s gift to 45 thousand employees of UP, this much increase in salary
UP News: Yogi government has been continuously giving gifts to the employees of the state. Now the state government has given Holi gift to all the distillery employees of Uttar Pradesh. Actually, Yogi government has revised the salaries of distillery employees. The government has increased their salary by Rs 2100 per month. As soon as it is signed by the Principal Secretary, Labor of UP, the employees will get the benefit of arrears along with increased salary. Let us tell you that 104 distilleries operate in Uttar Pradesh. In which about 45 thousand employees work.
Salary was to be revised in September 2022
It is being told that the salary of the distillery employees was to be revised in September 2022 itself, but due to some reason the salary could not be revised, it continued to increase. Last month, the Labor Commissioner had held a three-party meeting regarding wage revision of distillery workers. In which the trade union, factory management and labor department officials from the employees’ side discussed the salary increase. After this, a consensus was reached on salary increase and a decision was taken to increase the salary by about Rs 2100.
Tax is highest but salary is lowest
Rakesh Kumar Vats, General Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Distillery Mazdoor Sangh, says that after the salary increase, the minimum salary of the employees will be Rs 22 to 23 thousand per month. Whereas the maximum salary at the supervisor level will be Rs 28 to 30 thousand. He said that in the state, distillery companies pay 50 to 65 percent tax of the MRP marked on the product to the government. Despite this, the employees working in these companies do not get proper salary for a normal living. Labor Commissioner Markandey Shahi said that the salaries of the employees of distillery companies have been revised. Due to which he will get the benefit of salary increase of about Rs 2100.
Distillery plants in the state will get a boost
Let us tell you that the Yogi government is going to take a big step to speed up industrial investment in the state and strengthen the revenue resources. Actually, the Excise Department is brainstorming on the new Excise Policy 2026-27. Under the new policy, there is a plan to encourage the establishment of distillery plants in the state. Along with this, various facilities are also being discussed to promote exports. The new excise policy will increase confidence among investors. For this, the Excise Department has been instructed to take concrete steps to increase revenue.
