Yogi government opened the box, great news for every village!
Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh government has made a huge provision of Rs 3,500 crore in the supplementary budget to modernize the health services of the state and provide accessible treatment to every citizen. Through this initiative, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has not only strengthened the existing health infrastructure but has also taken steps towards empowering primary and community health centers (PHC and CHC) in rural areas.

The largest share of this budget, around Rs 2,000 crore, has been allocated to the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM). Its objective is to bring health services in villages to the level of cities and increase the capacity of primary health centres.
Maternal and Child Health and Immunization
The new funds will strengthen immunization and nutrition programs for mothers and children. Along with this, emphasis will also be laid on control of infectious diseases and improvement in the facilities of health workers.
Modern equipment and hospital expansion
Availability of modern medical equipment will be ensured in district and regional hospitals. This will improve the quality of diagnosis and treatment and patients will get better health services.
Ayushman Bharat and Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana
Special funds have also been given to Ayushman Bharat Yojana and Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana for poor and middle class families. Under this, separate provisions of Rs 1,200 crore and Rs 300 crore have been made. With this amount, pending medical claims in government and private hospitals can be paid immediately, thereby providing cashless treatment to the patients.
