Smart electricity meter consumers will no longer face problems, CM Yogi gave strict instructions to officials
UP News: If you also have a smart electricity meter installed in your house and you are facing problems again and again, then there is no need to worry. Because Yogi government is adopting a strict stance on the complaints of consumers regarding smart electricity meters. In fact, following the instructions of CM Yogi Adityanath, UP Power Corporation Limited has started comprehensive action to improve the system in the entire state and resolve the complaints immediately. Under which the corporation will soon run a special campaign of 7 days. During this campaign, officials will go door-to-door to know about the problems of the consumers and will also solve them as soon as possible.
CM Yogi gave instructions to UP Power Corporation
Let us tell you that following the instructions of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited, Dr. Ashish Goyal called a meeting on Saturday. In which the responsible officers were instructed that complaints related to smart meters should be resolved every day. Along with this, he has also decided to run a 7-day special campaign in the entire state. During this campaign, officials will directly contact smart meter consumers and listen to their problems and solve them as soon as possible.
Every officer will be given responsibility
According to the information received from UP Power Corporation Limited, all the officers will be given responsibilities during this campaign. In which some officer will be given the responsibility of 10 to 20 consumers and some officer will be given the responsibility of even more consumers. In this, instructions have also been given to impose duty on most of the employees of Corporation and Discom. Through this campaign, officials will also immediately resolve complaints received on smart meters and helpline number 1912. After this, the officers will take feedback of those complaints and inform the department about the same.
All complaints related to smart meter will be resolved every day
Let us tell you that after the instructions of CM Yogi, Chairman of UP Power Corporation, Dr. Goyal, at Shakti Bhawan in Lucknow. Had a meeting with Managing Director of Power Corporation, Pankaj Kumar, Managing Director and senior officials of Discom. In which he instructed that all complaints related to smart meters should be resolved daily. Along with this, the control room and monitoring cells created for this at the Discom level should also be reviewed continuously.

Responsibility will be fixed on wrong billing
Apart from this, Chairman Dr. Ashish Goyal directed that under no circumstances should overbilling or wrong bills be made. He said that if a consumer complains about wrong billing, then immediate investigation should be done and responsibility should be fixed and action should be taken. Along with this, instructions were also given to immediately correct the wrong bill. He said that caution should be taken at every level. The Chairman said that the problems of smart meter consumers should be resolved immediately. Also, the helpline number 1912 should be continuously reviewed and the complaints received on it, especially the information and complaints related to smart meters, should be resolved on the same day.
