Yogi government will build a bridge on Ganga in this district of the state, it will cost more than Rs 750 crore
UP News: Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is working for the all-round development of the state. Be it education, health, employment or farmers’ problems. Along with this, new highways and roads along with bridges and flyovers are also being constructed continuously to ease the transportation in the state. Now Yogi government is going to construct a bridge on river Ganga to connect Transganga City of Kanpur to the city. The state government will spend more than Rs 750 crore on the construction of this four-lane bridge. The construction of this project has been approved. Let us tell you that this project is proposed under the Atal Industrial Infrastructure Mission in the financial year 2025–26.
New bridge will connect Transganga City to Kanpur City
Under the proposal, a high level bridge will be constructed on the Ganga river. This bridge will directly connect Transganga City with Kanpur city. Let us tell you that Transganga City is being developed by Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority in the proposed area. The objective of which is to develop a well-organized industrial area by transferring industrial units of Kanpur city and surrounding areas.
Construction of bridge will increase traffic
Let us tell you that with the development of Transganga City, the traffic of heavy and light vehicles crossing the river Ganga will increase significantly. In such a situation, the traffic pressure on the existing Ganga Barrage route may increase and there is a possibility of traffic jam problem. Keeping this in mind, construction of a new bridge on the Ganga river has become necessary.
Demand of Rs 46,000 lakh
Under this plan, initially a four-lane bridge was proposed, but due to the construction of the merging point at one place in the city, there was a danger of increasing the traffic density and affecting the movement. Keeping this in view, it has been amended. After this, instead of one bridge of four lanes, two separate bridges of two lanes each will be built. So that the traffic pressure can be distributed on different routes.
