Lucknow, 17 February. Yogi government has taken strict steps regarding the availability of petrol, diesel and LPG in the state. Following the instructions of CM Yogi, enforcement agencies have become active in the entire state and a comprehensive campaign is being conducted against black marketing and illegal selling. Under this, 4,816 inspections and raids have been conducted across the state since March 12.
During this period, 10 FIRs were registered against LPG distributors, while action was taken by registering 60 FIRs against other persons involved in black marketing of gas. 10 people have been arrested from the spot and prosecution action has been taken against 67 persons.
- Regular stock review
Yogi government is strictly monitoring 4,108 LPG distributors to ensure delivery of gas cylinders to consumers as per booking. Stock is being regularly reviewed and availability of refills as per requirement is being monitored. Not only this, after the Central Government has given permission to allocate 20 percent of the total consumption of commercial cylinders, vigilance is also being taken on its implementation.
- Local officers active in the field
To solve the problems related to distribution of petroleum products, a 24-hour active control room has been set up in the Food Commissioner’s office, where officials of the Food and Logistics Department have been put on duty. Apart from this, officers and employees have also been deployed in Home Control.
Control rooms have also been set up in the districts, which are continuously monitoring. Also, District Supply Officers and local administration officials are continuously monitoring the situation by visiting the fields and taking action to ensure access of LPG to the consumers.
