UP News: Yogi government has prepared a comprehensive and well-organized supply plan for April 2026 to provide timely fertilizers to the farmers. The objective of this scheme is to prevent any kind of fertilizer shortage situation in the state and to maintain the smooth functioning of agricultural operations.
Supply of fertilizer as per demand in each district
Under this strategy released by the state government, special emphasis has been laid on ensuring adequate availability of major fertilizers like Urea, DAP (Di-Ammonium Phosphate) and NPK (Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potash). Top officials of the Agriculture Department have been instructed to ensure timely supply of fertilizers as per the demand in each district, so that farmers do not face any problem during sowing and crop growth.
distributed with transparency
Along with this, a committee should be formed under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate at all the fertilizer sales centers in the state and distribution should be done with transparency by deputing the personnel of Agriculture Department, Revenue Department and other departments as per requirement. Strict action should be taken as per rules against anti-social elements who create artificial shortage by hoarding fertilizers. Diversion of fertilizers in non-agricultural areas like plywood industrial, animal feed manufacturing units should be closely monitored.
Availability and distribution of fertilizers in the districts
Along with using fertilizers in the crop in recommended/balanced quantities (maximum 07 bags of Urea and 05 bags of DAP per hectare), awareness campaigns should be run in rural areas regarding not storing fertilizers in advance. The availability and distribution of fertilizers should be closely monitored in the international/interstate border districts.
Decision to increase the share of fertilizer distribution
In this scheme, it has been said to further strengthen the role of cooperative societies. The government has decided to increase the share of fertilizer distribution through cooperative institutions, which will improve both transparency and accessibility. At the same time, keeping the participation of the private sector balanced, it has also been proposed to give them about 35 percent quota, so that the supply chain remains effective.
instructions given to officials
The government has implemented a strict monitoring system to monitor fertilizer distribution. Regular review meetings will be held at the district level and officials have been instructed to take immediate action against any kind of black marketing or hoarding. Additionally, the availability and distribution of fertilizer will be monitored through a real-time tracking system.
Steps taken for the interests of farmers
With this well-planned strategy, timely and adequate quantity of fertilizers will be available to the farmers, which will increase crop production and strengthen the agricultural sector. This initiative is being considered an important step taken keeping in mind the interests of the farmers of the state.
