Yogi government’s mega plan, now bus service will reach every village –

K News Desktop- Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has taken a big decision for rural areas before the Panchayat elections. Mukhyamantri Gram Parivahan Yojana 2026 has been approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The objective of this scheme is to connect those villages of the state with public transport, which have been deprived of bus service since independence.

The government aims to connect more than 12,200 villages with bus service for the first time through this scheme. This will provide great convenience to lakhs of people in rural areas in commuting to the district headquarters and nearby cities. The buses running under the scheme will be 28 seater and will be kept tax free. The fare of these buses will be decided by a committee headed by the District Magistrate.

The government believes that this scheme will strengthen the connectivity of rural areas and make it easier for people to access education, health and employment opportunities. The local economy is also expected to get a boost by getting regular bus service for the first time to villages which have been deprived of transport facilities for a long time.

Apart from this, many other important proposals were also discussed in the cabinet meeting. According to the proposal of the Personnel Department, now if any government employee makes any transaction related to movable property worth more than two months’ basic salary, then he will have to immediately inform the concerned authority. With this, an effort is being made to increase transparency in the financial transactions of government employees.

In the same meeting, consensus is also being said on the proposal to construct a new four-lane bridge on the Ganga river to connect Trans Ganga City in Kanpur with the city. This is expected to boost traffic and industrial activities in Kanpur area.

Along with this, proposals related to implementing the process of registry after Khatauni investigation, amendment in Uttar Pradesh Higher Judicial Service Rules and changes in Textile and Garment Policy 2022 were also considered.

In the cabinet meeting, proposals of many departments like Transport, Housing and Urban Planning, Infrastructure and Industrial Development, Parliamentary Affairs, Handloom Industry, Dairy Development, Higher Education, Geology and Mining, Irrigation and Water Resources, Home, Finance, Energy, Social Welfare and Fertilizer and Logistics were also discussed and many important decisions were approved.

The government says that these decisions will give new impetus to rural connectivity, transparency and industrial development in the state.
