Yogi government’s strict action on black marketing of petrol, diesel, LPG, FIR against 24 and 6 arrested

Uttar Pradesh:Cooking gas i.e. LPG has become a necessity for every household. In such a situation, if there is a disturbance in its supply or black marketing starts, then the problems of the common people increase. In view of this problem, the Uttar Pradesh government has started a big campaign against black marketing of LPG. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Food and Logistics Department and the District Administration conducted a simultaneous raid campaign in the entire state. After this action, there has been a stir among the people selling gas illegally, while the expectations of the consumers to get the gas on time has increased.

Simultaneous raids in the entire state

According to government information, a total of 1,483 locations in different districts of the state were investigated and raided on Friday. During this period, special attention was kept on LPG distributors and those places where complaints of black marketing were being received. Enforcement teams investigated suspicious warehouses and shops and irregularities came to light at many places.

A total of 24 FIRs were registered during the action. Of these, four cases were registered against gas distributors and the remaining 20 cases were registered against those who were selling cylinders illegally. During the raid, six people were arrested from the spot, while legal action has been initiated against 19 people.

Panic among black marketeers

This sudden strict action across the state has spread panic among those involved in black marketing of gas. Officials say that this campaign will not be limited to just one day’s action, but continuous checks and inspections will be carried out in the future also.

The aim of the government is to ensure that LPG cylinders reach only the right consumers and no person in between can take advantage of it. From rural areas to cities, administration teams actively conducted campaigns. A local resident said that earlier many times one had to stand in long queues or pay extra money to get the cylinder, but now the system seems to be improving and gas is being available on time.

Emphasis on providing gas to consumers on time

About 4,108 LPG distributors are working in the state. The government has given clear instructions to all the distributors to deliver gas cylinders on time as per the booking of the consumers. According to officials, at present sufficient number of cylinders are available with the distributors, due to which domestic consumers will not face any problem. Apart from this, the Central Government has also approved 20 percent additional allocation of commercial gas cylinders. With this, hotels, restaurants and small traders will also not have to face shortage of gas.

The entire campaign is being monitored by District Supply Officers and other administrative officials. They are constantly visiting the field to inspect the system and ensure that there is no black marketing or irregularities in supply anywhere. This step is expected to increase transparency in the gas distribution system. Officials say that if irregularities are found anywhere, strict action will be taken immediately.

24 hour active control room

To monitor the availability of LPG, petrol and diesel, a 24-hour control room has also been set up in the food department. The supply system of the entire state is being monitored from here. Apart from this, control rooms have also been set up in all the districts, where consumers can register their complaints. The government says that the purpose of this system is to ensure that no citizen faces shortage of gas or other petroleum products.

Common consumers are expected to directly benefit from this entire campaign. By banning black marketing of LPG, people will be able to get gas cylinders at a reasonable price and the compulsion to pay extra money will also end. The government believes that through constant monitoring and strict action, the gas distribution system can be further strengthened, which will provide relief to the common people and maintain transparency in the market.
