Yogi government’s super gift to journalists! Journalists in UP will get cashless treatment with recognition
Gorakhpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made an important announcement for the welfare of journalists. He said that genuine and recognized journalists will be given certificates and ID cards. With this, they will be easily identified and there will be no problem while going anywhere. Also, the government is going to connect them with cashless health facility.
CM Yogi said that journalists raise the voice of the society, but when they fall ill, no one comes forward to help them. In such a situation, it is the responsibility of the government to ensure that they get health services easily. There will be no financial burden on treatment due to cashless facility.
Oath given to new executive in Gorakhpur
This announcement was made on Monday in the swearing-in ceremony of the new executive of Gorakhpur Journalists Press Club. The Chief Minister was present as the chief guest. Mayor Dr. Manglesh Srivastava administered the oath to the newly elected officials. These include President Omkar Dhar Dwivedi, Vice President Dhanesh Kumar, General Secretary Pankaj Srivastava and other members.
Coordination is necessary in all forms of media
CM Yogi discussed the challenges of journalism. He said that today all forms of print, visual, digital and social media are available. There should be coordination between them. Presenting the same news in different ways creates confusion among the public. Therefore everyone should follow the same standards and values.
He stressed that journalism should not be allowed to go unbridled. Its basic objective should be national service and social service. Criticism is part of democracy, but it should not turn into personal enmity.
Heritage remembered on Hindi journalism
The Chief Minister reminded that this year Hindi journalism is completing 200 years. Publication of ‘Udanta Martand’ started from Kolkata on 30 May 1826. The country was a slave at that time, but journalism played a big role in the fight for freedom. Mahatma Gandhi, Bal Gangadhar Tilak and other leaders also made the public aware through journalism.
CM Yogi said that true journalism is a symbol of public trust. News based on true facts strengthens the society. Journalism should follow the path of truth even in the face of disruptive forces.
Government’s zero tolerance policy
The government is firm on the policy of zero tolerance on crime and corruption. Housing schemes are also going on for journalists. Accredited journalists are already getting the benefit of cashless medical facility and now it will be further strengthened. On this occasion, Press Club President Omkar Dhar Dwivedi welcomed. The program was conducted by Gajendra Tripathi and Prem Paraya.
