Yogi arrived to take stock of the damage caused by the fire in Mahakumbh Mela area, PM Modi talked to CM
Prayagraj. A massive fire broke out in Sector 19 of Prayagraj's Mahakumbh Mela area on Sunday afternoon. This created chaos in the fair area. Seeing the seriousness of the incident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and took complete information. Flames and smoke could be seen even from a distance. There was panic in the area after the fire. As soon as information about the incident was received, several fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and brought the fire under control.

CM Yogi not only took cognizance of the fire incident in the Mahakumbh area, but also reached the spot and took stock of the damage caused by the fire. Senior officials of Mahakumbh area are present on the spot. At the same time, in the statement issued by Prayagraj Police, it has been asked not to pay attention to any kind of rumour. Fair area DIG Vaibhav Krishna said that there is no news of anyone getting injured in the fire. The fire first broke out in the tent of Geeta Press, after which 10 tents around it were affected. He said that there was no fire in any tent of the Akhara.

PTI quoted Akhara Police Station Incharge Bhaskar Mishra as saying that the fire broke out due to a cylinder blast in Sector 19 of Mahakumbh and 18 tents were burnt to ashes in this incident of arson. Due to the fire, dense smoke spread in the area, due to which people are facing a lot of problems. After some effort, the fire brigade has brought the fire under control. At present, there has been no news of any damage in the fire incident.
It is being told that this fire broke out due to cylinder blast. This is yet to be officially confirmed. However, as soon as information about the incident was received, 6 fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and the fire was immediately controlled.
