Brendan Fraser’s Pressure to get early access screenings for Memorial Day
Directed by Anthony Maras, Pressure follows General Dwight D. Eisenhower and Captain James Stagg during the critical 72 hours before D-Day. The story focuses on the difficult decision surrounding the launch of the Allied invasion while weather conditions threatened the entire mission. The film stars Andrew Scott, Brendan Fraser, Kerry Condon, Chris Messina, and Damian Lewis.
The movie will officially open in theaters on May 29 through Focus Features. However, audiences in select locations will be able to attend special early-access screenings on Memorial Day weekend, May 25. You can book the tickets for the early screening here. The timing fits the film’s military setting and gives war drama fans a chance to watch it before the nationwide rollout begins.
Fraser’s involvement continues a major comeback chapter in his career. The actor became a Hollywood favorite in the late 1990s and early 2000s through films like The Mummy, George of the Jungle, and Journey to the Center of the Earth. But years of physical injuries from stunt-heavy roles, personal struggles, and time away from leading projects pushed him out of the spotlight for a long period.
His return gained momentum with acclaimed performances in projects like The Whale, which earned Fraser the Academy Award for Best Actor. Since then, he has steadily returned to high-profile productions, including roles in Killers of the Flower Moon and several upcoming dramas. Pressure now adds another serious performance to that comeback streak, while also placing Fraser in a large-scale historical story with strong awards-season potential.
