You don’t raise your voice against Modi… Situation heated up in AAP, leaders taunt Raghav Chadha

Tezzbuzz Desk- The controversy regarding Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha has intensified in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Senior party leaders Sanjay Singh, Saurabh Bhardwaj and national media chief Anurag Dhanda openly questioned the working style of Raghav Chadha and made serious allegations against him.

Sanjay Singh alleged that Chadha remains silent in Parliament on important issues related to the national interest. He said that Chadha does not take any concrete steps on the attacks on party workers in Gujarat and the issues raised by the opposition. “Even when the opposition walks out, Chadha remains in the House. The country is waiting for his answer,” Singh said.

Saurabh Bhardwaj also hit out at Chadha, asking whether he raised his voice in Parliament against the party workers arrested in Gujarat or the alleged attacks on democracy in West Bengal. He said that MP’s time should be devoted to serious issues, but Chadha does not seem to be active in this responsibility.

National media chief Anurag Dhanda accused Chadha of being afraid of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and shying away from party conflicts. He said, “Raghav, you have been scared for the last few years. You are afraid of speaking against Modi. The time that the party gets in Parliament should be used on the real issues of the country and not on trivial matters like making samosas cheaper in the airport canteen.”

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also raised questions on Chadha’s working style, saying that raising only minor matters without paying attention to such issues makes him ‘compromised’. He said that the parliamentary board of the party keeps changing the posts of leaders from time to time, but proper discharge of responsibilities is necessary.

The controversy started when AAP wrote a letter to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat recommending the removal of Chadha from the post of party deputy leader and proposing to replace him with Punjab MP Ashok Mittal. The letter said that Chadha should not be given time from the party’s fixed quota to speak in the House.

After this action, Raghav Chadha released a video on social media and said, “Don’t consider my silence as my defeat.” He made it clear in his message that his struggle for the party and the common man will continue.

The controversy highlights the infighting in AAP and indicates that there is continuing disagreement over party strategy and the role of leaders in the Rajya Sabha.
