The Government of India has launched a new initiative to empower skilled artisans and promote traditional professions – Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana. The objective of this scheme is to economically empower the artisans associated with sculptors, toy makers, blacksmiths and many other traditional professions and hone their skills.
Who can apply?
masons, boat builders, locksmiths, stone carvers, stone breakers, hammer and toolkit makers, cobblers/shoe makers, sculptors, basket/mat/broom makers, gun makers, doll and toy makers, Barbers, bead makers, washermen, tailors, fishing net makers, goldsmiths, blacksmiths etc. If you do any of these things then such people can apply for the scheme.
Benefits related to the scheme
On joining PM Vishwakarma Yojana, applicants will be given free training, so that they can be competent in their work. For this they will be given a stipend of Rs 500 per day. Incentive facility will also be available in this. After joining the scheme, the beneficiaries will be given Rs 15,000 to buy a toolkit, so that they can do their work easily.
Get a loan without guarantee
After training the beneficiaries will be given loans at reasonable rates to start their own businesses. For this they will not need any guarantee. To start a business, the government is providing loans up to Rs 300,000 at only 5 percent interest. This amount will be given in two phases. A loan of Rs 100,000 will be given in the first phase. After this, a loan of Rs 200,000 will be given in the second phase.

- To apply, you will find Apply button on the home page, click on it.
- Login using your user ID and password. Create an account if you don't have a login ID.
- After applying, the application form will open in front of you.
- Enter your mobile number and Aadhaar number in the form and verify the form.
- Upload scanned copies of some required documents.
- After doing this, you will get the option to download PM Vishwakarma Certificate, click on it.
- Inside the certificate you will get your Vishwakarma Digital ID which will be useful for you in applying for this scheme.
- – Now click on the login button and enter the mobile number with which you have registered.
- – Now the main application form will open, fill the required information in it and submit.
- You will be notified when your application is accepted.
