‘You will not be able to go back to your home’ – Iran trembled after Trump’s dreadful threat, left peace talks midway
Bergenstock/Washington: Amidst the ongoing tension in West Asia, the peace talks between America and Iran that started in Switzerland seem to be in trouble. The Iranian delegation has left the talks midway after a very dangerous and direct threat from US President Donald Trump. A member of Iran’s negotiating team has clearly told the government media that talks with America on any other issue will not move forward until the war in Lebanon ends completely.
In fact, a high-profile meeting between America and Iran started on Sunday in Bergenstock, Switzerland with the aim of ending their old enmity and fight. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump made a sensational claim. Trump said Sunday that he had spoken directly to Iranian officials overnight and bluntly warned them that if they dared to close the Strait of Hormuz again, they would “not be able to go back to their country.”
‘I will erase Iran from existence and will collect heavy toll’ – Trump’s big statement on Fox News
Donald Trump said in a very aggressive manner while talking to the American news channel ‘Fox News’, “If you (Iran) stop it, your country will not survive. You will not even be able to return to your country.” Trump did not stop here, he also raised the possibility that Washington itself may come forward to keep maritime traffic completely safe and impose transit tax on international oil shipments passing through this very important route. He said that America can take direct operational control of the Strait of Hormuz.
Revealing the future strategy, Trump said, “If necessary, we can completely occupy the straits. I will destroy them badly.” Giving a clear hint of taking tough economic measures if the talks fail, Trump warned that if they do not reach a deal, we will charge heavy tolls from every ship.
Peace talks started with the mediation of Qatar and Pakistan
This peace talks started on Sunday amidst the fierce conflict that has been going on in West Asia for the last three and a half months and the continuous Israeli attacks on Lebanon. Qatar and Pakistan are playing the role of mediator in this very complex negotiation. Last Wednesday, a preliminary agreement draft of 14 points was agreed between the two countries, on the basis of which it was decided to discuss technical aspects for the next 60 days.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump gave another strict instruction to Iran that Tehran should stop Hezbollah in Lebanon at all costs, otherwise America will start attacking Iran like before. At the same time, after Iran’s threat to close the Strait of Hormuz, not a single ship passed through this route on Sunday, due to which there was a huge fall in the stock markets of Gulf countries. Experts estimate that due to this tension, crude oil prices may rise in the international market on Monday.
The roadmap for peace was being prepared in the presence of these giants
In Switzerland this conversation was proposed only on Sunday. The seriousness of these talks can be gauged from the fact that Vice President JD Vance from the US side and Parliament Speaker MB Ghalibaf from the Iranian side are leading their respective delegations. Apart from this, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of mediator country Qatar Abdulrahman Al Thani, Pakistan PM Shahbaz Sharif and his army chief Field Marshal Asim Munir are also present on the occasion. International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief Rafael Grossi is also camping there to resolve the technical issue on Iran’s nuclear issue.
According to Qatar’s Foreign Ministry, it was expected to reach a comprehensive and lasting agreement through the talks, for which separate follow-up groups of experts and technical officials were also formed.
Zurich airport system stalled, Israel rained 1000 kg bombs on Lebanon
For this grand conference, a 50 kilometer radius of Burgenstock Resort in Oman, Switzerland was converted into an impenetrable fort (high security zone). Due to this strict security regulation, a technical fault occurred in the air traffic control system of Zurich Airport, which was later rectified. The sky is being continuously monitored by military helicopters.
On the other hand, Israel continued its heavy bombardment in Lebanon on Sunday also. The Israeli Army has rained 500 to 1000 kg of destructive bombs on the residential areas of Southern Lebanon and Beirut, due to which these areas are now looking like a pile of debris like the Gaza Strip. 32 people were killed in the attack on Saturday alone. However, in a poll conducted by Israel’s own Hebrew University, 92 percent of Israeli citizens believe that Tehran is benefiting more from this US-Iran agreement and 90 percent believe that no purpose of the war was achieved. Despite this, PM Netanyahu has clearly refused to withdraw his troops from Lebanon.
