Killed the girl by stabbing her 32 times in 35 seconds, ordered three knives from Amazon, shocking confession of the accused

Mohali. Many important revelations have been made during the police investigation in the case of murder of girl Dimple Khatri in a private logistics company located in Sector-66, Mohali. Accused Harjinder Singh Mann has confessed during interrogation that he had ordered the three knives used in the murder from the online shopping platform Amazon. Police are now examining all the digital records and other evidence related to the purchase of knives. However, the police have recovered the knife used in the murder.

According to the police, during interrogation, accused Mann confessed that Dimple Khatri was keeping distance from him for some time and had also stopped talking to her. The accused had become mentally disturbed due to this. He feared that Dimple was ending all relations with him forever and leaving the city. This apprehension and anger provoked him to commit this dreadful incident.

During interrogation, it has also come to light that before the incident, the accused had contacted Dimple’s brother and tried to know why she was not talking to him. However, he became more upset when he did not receive any positive response. During police interrogation, the accused told that initially he had gone to meet Dimple to convince her to start talking again. But he also took a knife with him.

When he tried to talk to Dimple, Dimple did not listen to him. As soon as he reached the company office, he attacked Dimple fiercely. Due to the sudden attack, the employees present there could not understand anything and could not intervene. Dimple died on the spot due to serious injuries.

According to the FIR, the accused attacked Dimple 32 times on many parts of her body including her neck. After the incident, he also attempted suicide by cutting his neck with the same knife. Being seriously injured, he was admitted to Fortis Hospital located in Phase-8, where after treatment, the police arrested him.

This incident took place on June 4, 2026 at around 7.40 pm at SRP US Logistics Company located in Sector-66. The deceased, Dimple Khatri (29), was a resident of Khanna Road area of ​​Patiala, while the accused Harjinder Singh Mann is a resident of Tripadi area of ​​Patiala. On the evening of June 4, one-sided love took a horrifying form in the office of a private logistics company in Phase-11, Mohali. Dimple, a 30-year-old girl working in a company, was murdered by her colleague Harjinder Singh Mann alias Harry in a sharp attack with a knife.

The accused attacked the girl about 32 times in just 35 seconds. After this he also attempted suicide by stabbing himself 11 times with a knife. The girl died before reaching the hospital while the accused is admitted in a private hospital in a critical condition.

Both worked together in the company

The deceased Dimple was a resident of Patiala while the accused Harjinder Singh Mann is also a resident of Ratna Nagar area of ​​Patiala. Both were working together in SRP US Logistics Company of Phase-11 for the last three years.

There was closeness between the two earlier

Preliminary police investigation has revealed that the two were previously close. However, both of them separated a few months ago. After this, the accused was continuously trying to establish a relationship with the girl again but Dimple was maintaining distance from him. Police suspect that it was due to this rivalry that the accused committed the crime.

Harjinder quietly approached him and suddenly attacked him with a knife.

According to CCTV footage, Dimple was working in her cabin at around 7.30 pm on Thursday. Meanwhile, Harjinder silently came behind him and suddenly attacked him with a knife. After the attack, Dimple ran here and there in the office to save her life but the accused kept chasing her and kept attacking her.

The employees present in the office tried to intervene but the accused shooed them away by showing them a knife. According to eyewitnesses, the entire incident happened within a few seconds. When the accused felt that the girl was dead, he attempted suicide by stabbing his neck and body several times with the same knife.
