The week also saw the release of multiple Pongal and Sankranti releases. A much-delayed and highly debated Hindi film also hit theatres last week, alongside the second season of a popular Hindi series. The Golden Globe Awards were also announced in the meantime, and a legendary Hollywood director passed away. The promo of a Rajinikanth film came out on Pongal, and a highly anticipated Ajith film got a release date.
