Dehradun. A 30-year-old youth, who had gone for gall bladder surgery at a private hospital near Ladpur in the Raipur police station area of ​​the capital, died suddenly. The family members created a ruckus outside the hospital, accusing the doctors of gross negligence and kept the body on the road and demanded that the hospital be sealed. Angry people started blocking the road. This heart-wrenching incident happened on Wednesday-Thursday.

Admitted on Tuesday, went to OT on Wednesday myself

The name of the deceased youth was Ajay Sonkar and he was a resident of Kanwali Road. According to family members, he was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday complaining of stomach pain. By Wednesday afternoon he was completely fine, talking and walking on his own to the operation theatre. But suddenly at night the hospital administration called the family and informed them that Ajay had died.

The family members claim that during the surgery, the doctors performed the procedure incorrectly, due to which the condition suddenly deteriorated and the young man lost his life. Angry family members and local people reached the hospital and started protesting fiercely.

Police arrived, still did not agree, angry

Seeing the increasing uproar, the family members along with hundreds of people reached Raipur police station and demanded strict action against the guilty doctors. Heavy police force was deployed on the spot and somehow the situation was brought under control.

Postmortem and then the ruckus started

Raipur police station in-charge Girish Negi said that a case has been registered on the complaint of the family members and a complete investigation is being done. The real cause of death will be known only after the postmortem report comes. Rural SP Jaya Baluni also confirmed that a case has been registered against the doctor.

On Thursday, when the family members reached Coronation Hospital for postmortem of the body, hundreds of people gathered there too and protest started. MLA Khajan Das reached the spot and tried to convince the people, but the uproar continued till late evening.

The father of the deceased made these three big demands

The father of deceased Ajay Sonkar has demanded from the government a government job for the family, financial assistance of Rs 1 crore and immediate sealing of the guilty hospital. He says that the protest will continue until the demands are met.
