Youth Sports Festival 2.O inaugurated in Lucknow: Enthusiasm was seen among the players, organized at KD Singh Babu Stadium.
Lucknow, Read: Uttistha Seva Sansthanam, Prof. at KD Singh Babu Stadium on Monday. The Youth Sports Festival was launched under the joint supervision of Sharda Prasad Tiwari Memorial Trust, SS Hospital, My Bharat and Kavyom Foundation. A large number of players, organizers and distinguished guests were present in the program.
Among the chief guests of the program, Member Legislative Council Mukesh Sharma, National President of Yuva Ekal Abhiyan Durgesh Tripathi, former member of Child Commission Shyam Tripathi and representative of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Akhilesh were prominently present.
Apart from this, Prof. Chairperson of Sharda Prasad Tiwari Memorial Trust, Prof. Many dignitaries including Manjula Upadhyay, Treasurer Hemant Upadhyay, SS Hospital Director Dr. Himanshu Singh participated in the program. Program coordinator Prof. Seema Pandey and co-coordinator Dr. Ramesh Tripathi welcomed the guests.
On this occasion, the guests inaugurated the sports competitions and encouraged the players and gave the message of maintaining the spirit of sports. The competitions started with cricket, tug of war, chess and kho-kho. In the Kho-Kho competition, Gandhi Club secured the first position, while BKT College was the runner-up. In the boys category of tug of war, Shri Ram Swarup Memorial College of Engineering and Management won the first position and Shri Ram Swarup Memorial University was the runner up.
In the women’s category, Shri Ram Swaroop Memorial University stood first and Shivaji NPG College stood runner-up. There was a tough fight in the matches between eight teams, out of which four teams reached the semi-finals. Volleyball and badminton competitions will be held on the second day of the event. State Youth Sports and Welfare Minister Girish Yadav will be present as the chief guest in the concluding session. Prashant Prakhar conducted the program.
