Youtube Is Now Offering AI-Powered Song Remix Feature: How It Works?

An exciting new feature has been introduced by YouTube for creators that make Shorts!

YouTube’s Dream Track Allows Creators to Remix Songs Using AI for Shorts

This new tool shall let them remix existing songs and create their own unique 30-second versions to use in their videos. Currently available to a select group of creators only, this feature is a part of YouTube’s Dream Track program.

There is a list of eligible songs from which the creators involved in this program can pick the songs from and ask the AI to change the song how they would like to. The elements like genre or mood of the song can be adjusted. Post saving the changes, a new version of the song is generated by AI that keeps the main feel of the original song while adding the creator’s ideas.

YouTube in turn ensures that the original song is credited properly in the Short and on the audio page, making it clear that the track was remixed using AI.

YouTube’s Dream Track Expands AI Remix Feature for Creators, Meta Introduces AI Tools for Instagram

Launched in November 2023, Dream Track is powered by Deepmind, which is Google’s AI team. At the start, it allowed a select group of US creators to use the AI-generated voices of well-known artists.

It was with a partnership with the Universal Music Group and various popular musicians like John Legend, Charli XCX, and Troye Sivan that this feature came. During the course of last year, it became available to all creators in the US.

On the another lines, Meta is adding new AI tools for Instagram, which would allow the users to make their own profile pictures using AI technology. There are not many details available yet, but it looks like similar features are also being worked on for Facebook and WhatsApp/
