Testing of 'Play Something' floating button begins
According to reports, YouTube is testing a new 'Play Something' floating action button. This button will appear at the bottom of the screen. As soon as you tap on it, YouTube shorts videos start playing. Currently this feature is available only for shorts, but in the future it can be added for longer duration videos also.
Google has been trying to bring such a feature to YouTube for a long time and it is being tested in different ways.
How will this feature be beneficial for users?
This button will be especially beneficial for those users who cannot decide what to watch on YouTube. As soon as the 'Play Something' button is tapped, YouTube will automatically start playing the video matching the user's choice.
However, this feature is still in the initial testing stage. There is no definite information about when it will be rolled out on a large scale.
