Goa: Popular YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, known as BeerBiceps, and his girlfriend experienced a harrowing ordeal while swimming in the open sea in Goa. The couple was swept away by a strong underwater current and had to be rescued by an IPS officer and his IRS officer wife.

The incident occurred on Christmas Day when Allahbadia and his girlfriend decided to take a leisurely swim. Despite being experienced swimmers, they found themselves struggling against the powerful current. “A casual, fun dip in the waves was interrupted by an underwater current that toppled both of us. The next thing we knew was that we were both struggling to stay afloat,” Allahbadia shared on his social media.

After a few minutes of battling the current, the couple began to lose strength and called for help. Fortunately, a family of five, including an IPS officer and his IRS officer wife, was nearby and quickly came to their aid. “There was a point during the ordeal where I swallowed a lot of water and started fading away a little bit. That’s when I decided to shout for help,” Allahbadia recounted.

The rescue was swift, and both Allahbadia and his girlfriend were brought safely to shore. Reflecting on the incident, Allahbadia expressed deep gratitude for their rescuers and the fragility of life. “This experience left us feeling both blank as well as grateful. We felt the protection of God throughout the incident,” he wrote.

The couple is now safe and well, but the incident has served as a stark reminder of the unpredictable nature of the sea and the importance of staying vigilant while swimming in open waters.
