Yunus shrugged off the murder of another Hindu youth in Bangladesh, refused to accept it as a communal incident.

New Delhi, 27 December. The condition of minorities in Bangladesh is pathetic. Not even a month had passed since the brutal murder of minority Hindu youth Dipu Chandra Das when another case came to light. According to the latest information, a Hindu youth named Amrit Mandol was murdered by the mob. However, the Yunus government says that it has no connection with communal violence.

It is being claimed on social media that the mob has killed another Hindu youth. In such a situation, according to the information shared by Bangladeshi media BSS, the interim government strongly condemned the killing of the person in Rajbari mob lynching. Along with this, the Yunus government rejected the claim running on social media and some media outlets that the incident was communal.

The Yunus government promised to bring the criminals to justice. A statement issued by the press wing of CA said, “It has come to the notice of the government that misleading information is being spread on social media and various media outlets regarding the tragic murder that took place on Wednesday night in Pangsha police station area of Rajbari district.”

BSS reported that as per police information and preliminary investigation, the incident was not a communal attack at all, but stemmed from a violent situation arising out of extortion and terrorist activities. The statement said that the deceased has been identified as criminal Amrit Mandol alias Samrat. He had gone to the area to demand extortion money and was killed during a clash with angry locals.

According to the statement, Samrat was earlier also accused in several serious cases including murder and extortion registered in 2023. There are arrest warrants against him in all cases. Police detained one of his associates, Salim, from the spot with a foreign pistol and a pipe gun and said three cases had already been registered in connection with the incident.

The statement issued by the government said, “The government strongly condemns this murder. The government wants to make it clear that the government does not support any kind of illegal activities, gang violence or violence. Legal action will be taken against all those directly or indirectly involved in this incident. Law enforcement agencies are continuing to investigate this incident.”

The Yunus government refused to accept it as communal violence, saying, “The government is deeply concerned that a particular group is trying to portray this incident as a communal attack by highlighting the religious identity of the deceased, which is completely baseless and done with ill intentions.”

The government appealed to all concerned to act responsibly and refrain from spreading misleading, inflammatory and communal statements. The government is committed to establishing the rule of law and justice. “Any attempt to disrupt peace and stability in the country will be dealt with sternly.”

Let us tell you that when the case of murder of Dipu Chandra came to light yesterday, this incident was strongly criticized all over the world and questions were raised regarding law and order under the rule of Yunus government. This matter had not yet been completely resolved when this second case of murder of a Hindu youth came to light.
