And then there’s Jasprit Bumrah—what can I say? He is a truly exceptional talent. Overall, the team’s performance was outstanding, top-class all around.”
Abbas highlighted India’s overall dominance in the tournament while specifically noting Bumrah’s brilliance, drawing comparisons with the legendary Pakistani fast bowlers who inspired him.
“Jasprit Bumrah reminds me of a blend of Waqar Younis and Wasim Akram. Undoubtedly, he is among the finest bowlers India has ever produced. His yorkers, speed, and knack for swinging the ball at critical moments are exceptional. With this performance, he has almost single-handedly led his team to World Cup glory,” he mentioned.
