Zarina Wahab alleges that Jiah Khan attempted suicide multiple times prior meeting Sooraj Pancholi

On June 3, 2013, actress Jiah Khan died in her apartment in Juhu, Mumbai. A 6-page note detailing her tumultuous relationship with actor Sooraj Pancholi, her ex-boyfriend, led to his arrest on allegations of aiding and abetting suicide. Actress Zarina Wahab, who is Sooraj’s mother, has now disclosed that Khan had made four or five suicide attempts before to meeting Sooraj, saying, “Naseeb aisi thi ki jab mere bete ka turn aaya toh woh hua.” (All of that occurred when my kid met her.)

Actress Zarina Wahab, the mother of Sooraj Pancholi, discussed Jiah Khan’s passing in a recent interview with Lehren. She said that Jiah had made four or five suicide attempts before to meeting her son. She added, “Before that, she had tried 4-5 times, but it was destiny that when my son’s turn came, it happened.”

She mentioned that the family had a difficult time, but she reaffirmed her believe in karma by adding,  “If you spoil someone’s life with lies, it’s like a loan that will come back with interest.”

They waited for the truth to surface, when Sooraj was found not guilty, she continued. Wahab admitted the substantial influence the lawsuit had on his career, but he was relieved that Sooraj was no longer involved after ten years.

After being imprisoned for 22 days, Pancholi was released on bail for the uninitiated. A Mumbai special CBI court cleared Pancholi in Khan’s suicide case in 2023 on the grounds of “lack of evidence.”
