Zayn Malik explains idea behind ‘KONNAKOL’ striking cover design
Zayn Malik has impressed his fans with unique cover design for his fifth studio record.
The album cover of Malik’s “KONNAKOL” features his half face, while the half has a picture of a snow leopard.
His curious fans have been wondering what does the picture of the leopard mean in on the cover design.
The PILLOWTALK singer recently did a live session on Instagram, where he answered most of his fans questions.
One of his followers asked him, “What does the leopard mean to you?”
Considering that his new record reflects his south Asian roots and highlights the culture and heritage, Zayn mentioned that animal is a native of South Asia and is usually found in places like Pakistan.
“The snow leopard is an animal that is native of South Asia, Pakistan, them kind of places. So it just made sense to me that we’d use something that is symbolic in that sense on the cover.”
Plus, the Dusk Till Dawn singer also felt that “It’s a very striking looking animal.”
The 33-year-old musician’s new album is scheduled to release on April 17. He has already dropped one song from the record titled Die For Mewhich is has breaking records.
