Zekai Ozen, an 18-year-old driver from Texaco Team AMS, will represent Turkiye in the Touring Car category at the FIA Motorsport Games 2024.
This prestigious event, taking place in Valencia, Spain, from October 22 to 27, will feature participation from nearly 100 countries.
Promising career in motorsport
Zekai Ozen began his motorsport journey at the age of six with karting. Since then, he has made a significant impact in the sport, winning a total of four national championships across Mini, Junior, and Senior categories. At just 16 years old, he competed in automotive races in both Turkiye and Italy.
Last year, he became the Italy Cup DSG Champion driving an Audi TCR LMS, and in 2024, he secured the TCR European Endurance GEN1 Championship. As of now, Ozen leads the Maksi Group in the 2024 Turkiye Circuit Championship, with two races remaining.
Unique opportunity for young talent
The Türkiye Automobile Sports Federation (TOSFED) will send a team of 15 athletes to compete in the games, which will feature 700 competitors across 26 different disciplines from 85 countries. Ozen’s participation, supported by TOSFED and Texaco, offers him a remarkable opportunity to race against some of the world’s best drivers, further enhancing his experience in the competitive landscape of motorsport.
