Zimbabwe team announced for T20 World Cup 2026, Sikandar Raza gets command; see who got the place
Zimbabwe Squad For T20 World Cup 2026: ICC T20 World Cup 2026 is now only 35 days left. All the teams have started preparations for the World Cup. Meanwhile, Zimbabwe Cricket has announced its team of players. This time the command of the team has been handed over to experienced wicketkeeper-batsman Sikandar Raza. The tournament will be played in India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8.
Most of the players in the team have been selected on the basis of past performance. Fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani, who returned fit, is a new inclusion this time, while other players have been a part of the T20 tri-series played in Pakistan. Many experienced bowlers have been included in this team.
The command of fast bowling is in the hands of these bowlers
Muzarabani and left-arm seamer Richard Ngarawa will lead Zimbabwe’s fast bowling attack. Along with this, Bradley Evans and Tinotenda Maposa will give depth to the team’s bowling. The team has recalled Graeme Cremer, who will partner Wellington Masakadza, to bring experience and control in the spin department.

In batting, the team has maintained a balance of experience and young talent. Young batsmen Brian Bennett and Tadivana Marumani will look to impress, while wicketkeeper-batsman Brendan Taylor will bring experience and composure. All-rounder Ryan Burl will provide balance with his power hitting and leg spin. The team also includes Tshinga Musekiwa, Clive Madande, Tony Munyonga and Dion Myers.

Zimbabwe is in Australia’s group
Zimbabwe have been placed in Group B, where they will face Australia, Ireland, Oman and co-hosts Sri Lanka. The top two teams of the group will enter the Super Eight stage. Zimbabwe will begin their campaign against Oman on February 9 at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground in Colombo. After this, group matches will be played against Australia on 13 February, Ireland on 17 February, and Sri Lanka on 19 February.
