The 38th match of the tournament was played between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe on 19 February at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. In this match, Zimbabwe performed brilliantly and easily won by 6 wickets.
This victory is considered very special for Zimbabwe, because it has made it to the Indian team’s group in the Super-8 of the T20 World Cup 2026. Apart from India, it will also have to compete with West Indies and South Africa in this group. Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, the team made a good start and scored 100 runs at the loss of one wicket in the first 12 overs.
