Zirakpur: Foreign woman jumped 15 feet after being hit by a speeding Audi, died on the spot

Zirakpur: A painful road accident in Zirakpur, Punjab late on Monday night shocked everyone. A foreign woman died on the spot after being hit by a speeding car. This accident was so horrific that as soon as the collision occurred, the woman jumped several feet in the air and fell on the other side of the road. After the incident, there was a stir in the area and people immediately gathered at the spot.

This accident happened on the busy VIP road of Zirakpur at around 12 o’clock on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday. According to the information, the deceased woman has been identified as Mavluda, who was a resident of Türkiye. It is being told that she was crossing the road after coming out of the hospital with a friend. At the same time, a black speeding Audi car suddenly reached there and hit both of them.

According to eyewitnesses, the speed of the car was very high. As soon as the car hit the woman, she jumped about 15 feet in the air and fell on the other side of the road. Due to this horrific collision, Mavaluda suffered serious injuries and died on the spot due to excessive bleeding. The person present with him suffered minor injuries in the accident.

The victim had come to meet her in the hospital.

Abhishek alias Abhi, who was present with the woman at the time of the incident, told that Mavaluda was his good friend. She had come to EMCare Hospital to meet his pregnant wife. After meeting in the hospital, when both of them came out and started crossing the main road, suddenly a speeding Audi car hit them. Abhishek also suffered minor injuries in this accident, but he is safe.

CCTV footage surfaced

After the incident, CCTV footage of cameras installed nearby has also surfaced. The police have taken possession of the footage and started investigation. Officials say that with the help of the footage, efforts are being made to identify the car and reach the accused driver. According to preliminary investigation, it seems to be a case of hit and run, because after the collision, the driver fled from the spot with the car.

Police engaged in investigation, search for the accused continues

Immediately after the accident, the people present nearby informed the police control room. However, local people allege that even after giving information, the police did not reach the spot for about an hour, due to which anger was seen among the people. Later the police team reached the spot and took the body into their custody and kept it in the mortuary of Civil Hospital of Derabassi.

According to investigating officer Raj Kumar, the deceased woman has been identified as Mavluda, a Turkish citizen. He told that the sister of the deceased is coming to India from Türkiye. After his arrival the post mortem process and other legal action will be taken. At present, the police is scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby and efforts are being made to identify the absconding driver and arrest him as soon as possible. This tragic accident has once again exposed road safety and the danger of speeding vehicles.
