Avneet told that she was surprised to see this scene. He felt that Tom must have connected very deeply with this character, only then he could perform with the same emotion and energy continuously for so long. Tom Cruise said that to complete this scene, it was very important to capture the rhythm of the character and understand every emotional beat. According to him, as an actor he knows what kind of performance has to be given at which place in a scene. He said that Alejandro G. Iñárritu's staging was so brilliant that the entire scene felt like a dance and rhythm.
Cruise revealed that he had only done this scene a few times, but each time the entire scene was shot in one take. That means he had to maintain the same emotion and rhythm continuously from beginning to end in every take. This was the reason why this scene was challenging as well as a special experience for him. Tom Cruise also talked about his physical transformation done for the film. He told that to play the character, he had to wear a heavy fat suit along with perfect comedy timing. This suit was very heavy and it was not easy to perform with it. However, Cruise said that this entire experience was a lot of fun for him.
