New Delhi. In the cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the PM expressed displeasure over the attitude of the opposition on the issue of women’s reservation. According to media sources, the Prime Minister said that the opposition has defeated the women of the country by not supporting the Women’s Reservation Bill. By doing this the opposition has made a big mistake and they will have to face the consequences in future. The PM said that the government will take this issue to every person in every village so that the real anti-women face of the opposition can be exposed. Modi said, the opposition will have to answer the women of the country.

In the press conference after the cabinet meeting, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said that being politically motivated and with the mentality of not giving women their rights, Congress and other opposition parties did not allow the bill related to women’s reservation to be passed. We are saddened by this. This is not just a matter of sadness for the government, nor are we sad because our party has suffered a loss, but we are sad because this loss has happened to the women of the country. We are saddened that an important step towards giving women a place to take part in the country’s governance decisions has not been completed. This should not at all be considered a failure by the government or our party BJP. Congress and opposition parties have caused a huge blow to the country.
