Advisory For Indian Ships In Strait Of Hormuz: India on alert after the incident of firing on Indian ships in the Strait of Hormuz, Navy issued advisory to stay away from Larak Island.
New Delhi. India is on alert after the incident of firing by Iran on two Indian ships in the Strait of Hormuz. The Indian Navy has issued an advisory for Indian ships around Hormuz, advising them to stay away from Larak Island. Indian Navy has further increased the security cordon near Hormuz so that no such incident happens in future. There has also been a reaction on this from the Indian Foreign Ministry.

Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, we are in touch with Iran and other countries to ensure the safe movement of our ships through the Strait of Hormuz. The result is that till now 10 Indian ships have safely crossed Hormuz. One of which ships is going to reach India very soon. He said that as soon as we received information about the incident of firing on Indian ships, we took the matter seriously. The Iranian Ambassador in Delhi was summoned and the Foreign Secretary expressed deep concern over the incident. The Foreign Secretary reiterated that we attach utmost importance to the safety of our seafarers and there should be unhindered movement of ships in the Strait of Hormuz. We are in constant touch with the relevant Iranian authorities for the safety of our ships.

Let us tell you that on April 18, two Indian ships ‘Jag Arnav’ and ‘Sanmar Herald’ were fired upon by the Iranian Navy. Both these ships were trying to cross the Strait of Hormuz. The audio message of the crew of ‘Sanmar Herald’, one of the ships on which there was firing, which was sent to the IRGC during the firing, went viral. The crew member told the IRGC that it was from you that we were given clearance to proceed. Now you are firing, please let us turn back.
