Allahabad High Court Grants Relief To Rahul Gandhi: Rahul Gandhi gets relief from Allahabad High Court on his statement fighting with Indian State, petition demanding registration of FIR rejected
New Delhi. Allahabad High Court has today rejected the petition demanding registration of FIR against Congress MP Rahul Gandhi. This petition was filed on behalf of Simran Gupta of Hindu Shakti Dal. Last year in January 2025, at the inauguration of Indira Bhawan, the new headquarters of Congress, Rahul Gandhi had given a statement that his fight is with the Indian State. In this he also took the names of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and BJP. Terming Rahul’s comment as anti-national, a demand was made to register an FIR against him.

Rahul Gandhi had said that Congress is fighting to protect the Constitution and the basic spirit of India while RSS and BJP are capturing the institutions of the country. Rahul had said that our fight is with BJP, RSS and Indian State. There was a lot of controversy regarding this statement of Rahul Gandhi. Petitioner Simran Gupta had alleged that this statement of Rahul Gandhi is not just a political criticism but it is an attempt to destabilize the country.

The petitioner had earlier filed a petition against Rahul Gandhi in the MP/MLA court of Sambhal but the Chief Judicial Magistrate had rejected it citing jurisdiction. After this, a petition was filed against Rahul Gandhi in Chandausi Court of Sambhal. Chandausi Court had rejected the petition filed against Rahul Gandhi on 7 November 2025. After this, Simran Gupta filed an application in Allahabad High Court challenging the decision of Chandausi Court. The hearing of this case in Allahabad High Court was completed on 8th April and the verdict was reserved. Now Simran Gupta’s petition has also been rejected by the single bench of High Court Justice Vikram D. Chauhan.
