Amit Shah Appointed BJP’s Observer for Bengal And JP Nadda For Assam: Amit Shah will finalize the name of the Chief Minister of Bengal, BJP Parliamentary Party made JP Nadda the observer of Assam.


New Delhi. After the release of assembly election results in West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry, the exercise to form the government has started. The responsibility of electing the leader of the legislative party in Bengal has been handed over to Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The BJP Parliamentary Board has appointed Amit Shah as the central observer for Bengal and Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi as the central co-observer. After the legislative party meeting, Home Minister Amit Shah will announce the name of the Chief Minister of Bengal. The swearing-in ceremony of the BJP government of Bengal is to be held on May 9.

On the other hand, BJP is going to form government in Assam also. There has been a hat-trick of NDA victories here. The BJP Parliamentary Board has appointed former party national president and Union minister JP Nadda as the Assam election observer. Also, Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini has been made the central co-observer. Nadda and Saini will soon go to Assam to finalize the selection of the leader in the legislature party meeting and the process of government formation will move forward.

Let us tell you that out of 126 seats in Assam, NDA has won 102 seats, which is much more than the majority figure. BJP had fielded its candidates on 90 seats, out of which it won 82 seats. Whereas BJP’s allies Bodoland People’s Front contested on 11 seats and won 10 seats and Assam Gana Parishad contested 26 seats and won 10. Apart from this, the Parliamentary Board has appointed Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya as the Central Observer and Nirmal Kumar as the Central Co-observer for the election of the BJP Legislature Party leader in Puducherry.
