Russian Foreign Minister On Iran-America Conflict: India can play the role of a strong mediator between Iran and America, statement of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

New Delhi. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who came to India to attend the BRICS Summit, expressed his views on many issues including Iran, America’s war, supply of Russian oil to India. He said that India can play the role of a possible mediator in the ongoing conflict between Iran and America. He said that the Indian leadership has strong diplomatic experience and India has a good image in the world and that is why India can help maintain peace for a long time. He said that India today is not just a big country but also one of the fastest growing economies of the world.

Sergei Lavrov said, Pakistan is helping in establishing dialogue to solve the problems between America and Iran. In such a situation, India, given its extensive diplomatic experience, can play the role of a long-term mediator between Iran and its Arab friends. He said that we have to understand the root causes of conflict in West Asia and the situation here is the unprovoked aggression by America and Israel. The Russian Foreign Minister alleged that some countries are trying to deepen the enmity between Iran and Arab countries. Russia is in favor of the path of diplomacy and dialogue to prevent further tension in West Asia.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, while answering a question related to Russian oil supplies to India, said that there has been an increase in oil supplies from Russia to India. He said that supplies are being made to India as per its requirement. Further, the Russian Foreign Minister said, I guarantee that India’s interests related to Russian energy supply will not be affected in any way.
