Under Construction Roof Of Temple Collapses In Parbhani, Maharashtra: The under construction roof of the temple collapsed in Parbhani, Maharashtra, 6 devotees died in a painful accident, CM Devendra Fadnavis expressed grief.


New Delhi. A very painful accident took place in the famous Maruti (Hanuman) temple complex located at Yashwadi in Manwat taluka of Parbhani district of Maharashtra. The roof of the assembly hall being built in front of the sanctum sanctorum of the temple suddenly collapsed. In this accident, about 30 to 35 devotees were buried under the debris, out of which 6 people died. As soon as information about the incident was received, the relief and rescue team reached there and started the work of evacuating the people buried under the debris. The injured have been admitted to Parbhani District Hospital. The rescue operation is ongoing and the death toll may increase.

Since it was Saturday, there was a huge crowd in the temple. As soon as the accident happened there was an outcry. People started running here and there to save their lives. The administration team is working to remove the debris with the help of cranes and bulldozers. At present no official information has been given regarding the number of dead. Many videos related to the incident are going viral on social media. It can be seen in the video that some devotees are present under the under-construction roof and are offering prayers. Then suddenly this accident happened. People did not get a chance to escape and the people present there got buried under the debris.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has expressed grief over this accident and expressed deep condolences. He said that we join the families of the deceased in their grief. CM has instructed the concerned authorities for proper treatment of all the injured. CM said that many senior officials of the local administration are present at the spot and relief and rescue operations are also being carried out rapidly. Taking cognizance of the accident, Minister Meghna Bordikar is keeping an eye on this entire incident.
