PM Narendra Modi Seychelles Visit From June 27-29: PM Narendra Modi will visit Seychelles on June 27, the visit will be important for India’s ‘Vision Ocean’
New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Seychelles on June 27. Information regarding the PM’s visit has been given by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, in which it has been told that on the invitation of Seychelles President Dr. Patrick Herminie, Prime Minister Modi will pay a state visit to Seychelles from 27-29 June 2026. Modi is visiting Seychelles after 11 years. Earlier he had visited Seychelles in 2015. PM Modi will attend the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Seychelles’ National Day as ‘Guest of Honour’. A contingent of Indian Defense Forces and two ships of the Indian Navy will also participate in the ceremony.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, this visit of Modi is very important for India’s ‘Vision Ocean’. Modi’s visit will also strengthen bilateral relations between India and Seychelles. During his visit, Prime Minister Modi will have a bilateral meeting with President Hermine of Seychelles. The two leaders will review all aspects of cooperation between the two countries and convey their views to each other on regional and international issues of mutual interest. The Prime Minister will also address the National Assembly of Seychelles and meet members of the Indian community living there.
India and Seychelles are each other’s old partners
According to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, India and Seychelles have a long-standing partnership, based on shared historical, cultural and people-to-people ties. As an important maritime neighbor in the Indian Ocean region, Seychelles has a special place in India’s ‘Vision Ocean’ (mutual and inclusive progress for security and development in the regions) and our commitment to the ‘Global South’. This visit of PM Modi will reaffirm the strong and enduring friendship between India and Seychelles and further strengthen the shared commitment of both countries to improve bilateral relations in all sectors.
