Ram Mandir Donation Theft Case: Transfer of radio operator Arjun Dev, posted in Ayodhya for 17 years, action amid investigation into Ram Mandir donation theft case.


New Delhi. Radio Maintenance Officer (RMO) of the Wireless Department, Arjun Dev, has been transferred amid the ongoing investigation in the Ram Temple offering theft case. Arjun Dev was posted in Ayodhya for the last 17 years. Although he was transferred several times, every time he got his transfer stopped in some way or the other. Now he has been transferred from Ayodhya to Gorakhpur. Arjun Dev was the CCTV in-charge of the Ayodhya Ram temple complex’s wireless system, CCTV control room and the counting room that counts offerings and donations. In such a situation, his role in the donation theft case is also under question.

According to media reports, Arjun Dev had become very close to Ram Mandir Trust General Secretary Champat Rai and other officials over the years. In its investigation report, the SIT formed in the donation theft case has also mentioned the role of Arjun Dev and his interference in the work related to the management of the temple. Let us tell you that the police had arrested 8 people including Tinnu Yadav, close to Champat Rai, in this case. Other accused include Anukalp Mishra, Ramashankar Mishra, Luvkush Mishra, Avinash Shukla, Manish Yadav, Subhash Srivastava and Karunesh Pandey. All these accused were presented in the Anti-Corruption Court on Monday through video conferencing, from where they have been sent to judicial custody till July 14.

However, the police had not yet applied for the remand of these accused. In this case, the lawyers of Ayodhya, showing solidarity, had decided that no lawyer will fight the case of these accused. On the other hand, in the offering theft case, the three-member SIT formed under the chairmanship of IAS Vijay Vishwas Pant will reach Ayodhya again and start work from today. SIT has already submitted its preliminary report to the state government.
