Tree Falls On School Bus In Chembur: Tragic accident in Chembur, Mumbai, tree fell on school bus, one child died, four others injured

New Delhi. A tragic accident happened today in Chembur, Mumbai. Here suddenly a big tree fell on a school bus due to which the bus got damaged. In this incident, one child traveling in the bus died while 4 other children were injured. The age of all the children traveling in the bus is said to be around 9-14 years. The bus was from Universal School located in Tilak Nagar. When this accident happened, 12 children were traveling in the bus. Other children were taken out safely from the bus. The injured children are undergoing treatment in the hospital.

As soon as the tree fell on the bus, there was chaos. The children started screaming. People informed the police. Ambulance, fire brigade and BMC teams along with police reached the spot and started rescue operations. Local people also helped in saving the children. A child was trapped inside the bus and it took a lot of effort to get him out safely.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the tree was very old and due to the rain, the roots of the tree had become weak in the soil, which is why the tree fell. After this incident, the local people alleged that they had written several letters to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) requesting them to prune the trees and remove the dilapidated trees from the roadside, but no work was done in this regard, whereas such incidents had already happened in the area. After the incident, the police have diverted the road and currently the work of removing the fallen tree is going on there.
