New Delhi. An elderly citizen has died after falling into a deep manhole on Khairani Road in Mumbai’s Sakinaka area. The name of the deceased is Aslam Isak Shaikh and his age is said to be around 60 years. According to the information, repair work of the drainage grill was going on there and that is why the cover of the manhole was opened. Aslam Isak Sheikh was passing by on foot. During this time, due to talking on mobile, he did not pay attention to the open cover of the manhole and he became a victim of the accident. A CCTV footage of this incident has also surfaced.

As soon as the employees working there saw the old man falling, they immediately tried to save him by throwing a ladder but due to the strong current, he was swept away. After this the police and fire brigade were informed. After this the work of searching for the old man started. After about two and a half hours of hard work, his body was found inside the drainage system. There was a lot of difficulty in taking out the dead body.
