Two Terrorists Killed: Success to security forces in Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists Zakir and Latif killed

Shopian. The army and security forces have achieved great success in Shopian, which is known as the stronghold of terrorism in the Kashmir Valley. In an operation in Chanapora, Shopian, soldiers have killed two terrorists named Zakir Ganai and Latif Bhatt. According to the information, the army had received intelligence that some terrorists were hiding in the area. On this, the operation was started by laying siege there. According to reports, army and security forces personnel started the search operation. The hidden terrorists opened fire on this. On this the soldiers also responded by firing.

The operation was going on till the time of writing the news. After the death of Zakir and Latif, other terrorists are now being searched in Chanapora. Shopian is in South Kashmir. Terrorist incidents have been happening here since 1990. Because of this, the army and security forces always continued operations in Shopian. Then in 2015, terrorist activities increased here. Most of the terrorists here are related to Lashkar and Hizbul. After the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution related to Jammu and Kashmir, the army and security forces had eliminated terrorists on a large scale in Shopian. After which the incidents of terrorism have reduced significantly. After a long time, the operation has been done in Shopian.

Basically three terrorist organizations have been causing bloodshed in Jammu and Kashmir. These include Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed and Hizbul Mujahideen. LeT later created the front organization The Resistance Force (TRF) to disassociate its name from terrorist incidents. Whose terrorists committed many major incidents in 2024. At the same time, terrorists from Pakistan had killed 26 Hindu tourists in Baisaran Valley of Pahalgam in 2025. After which the Indian Army attacked the headquarters of Lashkar, Jaish and Hizbul in PoK and Pakistan. In which more than 100 terrorists were killed. These include many relatives and close friends of Masood Azhar including his brother-in-law.
