Case Against PFI: Big leaders of BJP and RSS were the target of PFI!, NIA court decided to prosecute 21 people of the banned organization.
New Delhi. Delhi’s Patiala House Court has framed charges against 21 accused including banned Popular Front of India (PFI) chief OMA Salam and deputy chief EM Abubakar. A case will be filed against all of them on different serious charges. Before the charges were framed in the court, all the accused including Salam and Abubakar declared themselves innocent. Now the court will start the trial on all these accused of PFI from June 29.

The PFI case is going on in the special court of NIA. Earlier during the hearing, the special court had decided to frame charges against all the accused of PFI. After which the court has taken the latest step. The NIA has accused the arrested PFI people of being involved in a conspiracy to promote violent activities. Also, NIA has claimed in the charge sheet that these PFI people also intended to target senior people of BJP and RSS. In the charge sheet, serious allegations have been made under sections of criminal conspiracy, preparation to wage war against the country and UAPA.

NIA has claimed in the charge sheet that the PFI chief and other arrested people were involved in raising funds for terrorism, planning terrorist incidents, running training camps for violence and recruiting people. NIA had launched a massive operation against PFI in September 2022. NIA had raided all the locations of PFI. During this time, these accused including OMA Salam and Abubakar were arrested. NIA claims that it has strong evidence against PFI. This whole matter started with a police raid in Bihar. Police raided PFI’s hideout and recovered an 8-page document. In which there was mention of steps to be taken to make India an Islamic country.
