Know All About First Hydrogen Train: Fare is less than platform ticket…Travel with so many passengers and the environment is also clean, this is the specialty of the country’s first hydrogen train

New Delhi. India’s first hydrogen-powered train is starting its daily journey from today. The country’s first hydrogen train will run between Jind and Sonipat in Haryana. There are 10 coaches in this train and the lowest fare is much below the platform ticket price. This train running on hydrogen will also strengthen environmental protection. Besides, hydrogen train will also help in changing the technology of railways for the future.

The minimum fare for a train running on hydrogen gas will be Rs 5. Its maximum fare has been fixed at Rs 25. About 2600 passengers will be able to travel at a time by hydrogen train. Keeping in mind the safety of passengers, its maximum speed has been kept at 75 kilometers per hour. However, during the trials, the country’s first hydrogen train also touched a speed of 120 kilometers per hour. The hydrogen train is equipped with fuel cells that generate energy from this gas. The motor in the train will run on the electricity generated from these cells. Also, there will be no smoke coming out of this train. Instead of smoke, the hydrogen train produces water steam. Listen, what Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said about this train.

Only selected countries in the world have made trains running on hydrogen. However, the hydrogen powered trains in other countries are less powerful. The Railway Minister had earlier told that where hydrogen trains run in foreign countries, they have a maximum power of 700 horse power. Whereas, the engineers of Indian Railways have accepted the challenge and have kept the power of the first hydrogen train built in the country at 1200 horse power. According to sources, after the success of this train, Kalka-Shimla and Darjeeling toy trains can also be made hydrogen based. So that there is clean environment in the mountains. At present, Kalka-Shimla train diesel and Darjeeling toy train run on steam and diesel engines.
