New Visa Rules By US: Trump administration sets a time limit of 4 years for these three American visas, Indian students may be affected

New Delhi. Donald Trump’s administration in America is continuously making new rules regarding visas. Now the US Homeland Security Department has implemented a new rule related to immigration. Under this rule, holders of F-1 student visa, J-1 exchange visitors and ‘I’ visa for journalists will be able to stay in America only for 4 years. Due to the maximum limit of 4 years being fixed for all these visas, it is certain to affect Indian citizens. Especially F-1 visa will affect Indian students.

By fixing the maximum time limit for visas by DHS, Indian students will be able to stay in America only for the duration of their studies. At the same time, foreign media persons who go to America on ‘I’ visa will now be considered eligible to stay there only for 4 years. DHS has said that the new visa rules will be implemented from September 15 this year. However, the US Congress or Parliament will review the new visa rules and may also make changes in them. On setting the deadline for US visas, India’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that the government is in touch with the Trump administration. India will continue to speak out in support of genuine students facing hardships and travelers traveling to the US.

US President Donald Trump constantly says that he wants to expel infiltrators from America. Trump also does not want that children born in America should be given citizenship on the basis of birth.
